Polishing & Skid Testers

The Polished Aggregate Friction Value (PAFV) of a material used as road surfacing is a measure of how rapidly it becomes polished under the action of vehicle tires. The Accelerated Polishing Machine is used to accelerate polishing of the aggregate set onto the periphery of a special revolving wheel — all according to the specified Standards. After the polishing cycle, the specimens are tested on the skid tester (see link below) to determine the PAFV. Geo-Con offers this EN machine specifically modified in our factory to comply with the local AU Standards.
