Ageing Ovens & Vessels

The Rolling Thin Film Ovens (RTFO) are used to simulate the short-term ageing of asphalt binders.

Short-Term Binder Aging Rolling Thin Film Ovens measure the effect of heat and air on a moving film of semi-solid bituminous materials. They simulate the short-term aging of asphalt binders, typically happening during asphalt mixing and paving operations.
