The VJ Tech ShearSCAN Pro Motorised System uses stepper motors for applying vertical and horizontal load to the sample. The self-contained tabletop model eliminates the need for the numerous weights required for dead weight systems.

The Autoshear is an automatic machine for direct/residual shear testing. It incorporates a high-resolution stepper motor fitted with a high precision load transfer mechanism.

The new Wykeham Farrance laboratory Vane Shear Apparatus measures the shear strength of cohesive soils and is particularly useful for soils with low shear strength. Vane shear testing is a fast and economical method of measuring the shear strength of clay compared with elaborate triaxial shear or direct shear tests. This apparatus tests undrained strength of soils, both in undisturbed and remoulded conditions.

The bench mounted VJ Tech Unsaturated Direct Shear System is used to perform Direct Shear tests on soil samples under unsaturated conditions. The loading mechanism is utilised for applying the vertical stress to the sample and a stepper motor drive for horizontal load.
