- Configurable shear box assembly, allowing customers to choose between a coated steel shear box for standard test application and a stainless steel shear box, ideal for testing highly corrosive materials
- High-performance – up to 100 kN vertical and horizontal load, variable speed from 0.00001 to 15.00000 mm/min, and adjustable number of cycles from 1 to 50.
- Precision control – fast, smooth, and accurate loading with integrated PID closed-loop control. Load is measured directly via a load cell mounted on the loading tip.
- Optimized force stransmission – straight connection between shear box, drive unit, and load cell ensures axial transmission of the horizontal force along the shearing plane, avoiding the limitations of the classic “swan neck” design.
- Flexible control options – operate via the local 6″ high-resolution touchscreen or remotely through the SOILMASTER T&A PC software.
- Automatic test management from consolidation to failure: the operator is only requested to remove the clamping screws of the shear box

| Flexible control solutions The control of the unit, including full test execution, can be achieved in two alternative ways: |
| Remote control from PC*: when remote control mode is used, the PC software, SOILMASTER T&A, serves as the user interface and manages the main functions, as well as channel calibration through linear, polynomial, and multi-coefficient curves. |
| Active control from the user interface: full test execution is possible without the need for a PC. The user interface is based on a large 6″ color touchscreen display, allowing the user to start, pause, and stop tests, select the data recording mode, view readings during test execution, and perform transducer calibration. The unit is supplied with a USB flash drive for virtually unlimited storage and TXT-format data output. |
